Matthew Boyles is a highly skilled professional clarinetist who is based in the San Francisco metropolitan area of California. He has a rich musical background and is an active member of several orchestras and chamber music groups in the North Bay region. With a deep passion for teaching music, Matthew currently serves as a site director and lead wind teaching artist at Enriching Lives through Music in San Rafael, California.
In addition to his teaching work, Matthew is a sought-after performer in the Bay Area. He has played with numerous prestigious orchestras and ensembles, including the San Francisco Opera Orchestra, San Francisco Ballet Orchestra, California Symphony, Monterey Symphony, Modesto Symphony, and New Century Chamber Orchestra. Prior to moving to the west coast, he performed as a professional clarinetist in the Philadelphia area and played with various groups across the Northeast after completing his Master's Degree at Temple University in 2011.
Matthew is not only passionate about music, but he also has other interests and hobbies. He enjoys hiking in the beautiful California wilderness and exploring the many outdoor activities that the state has to offer. In his free time, he also pursues astrophotography, capturing stunning images of the night sky. Matthew's diverse interests and talents reflect his deep appreciation for both the beauty of the natural world and the power of human expression through music.
